HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES CORPORATE HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER (Job Ref:FCS11) SALARY PO 5-9 £23913-26781 This is a key role developing, monitoring and reviewing the Council’s approach to health and safety management. As well as ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and achieving high standards of health and safety practice, you will lead on delivering continuous improvement in health and safety performance across the Council. You will provide expert advice on health and safety issues, acting as the head of profession for directorate lead officers. Working with a range of managers, personnel colleagues and other agencies will require excellent communication skills to challenge and influence attitudes and behaviours, promoting a forward thinking and pro-active approach to health and safety management in all service areas. You must have an appropriate professional qualification, combined with relevant, demonstrable experience in health and safety practice.
