Posted By peter gotch Regional Health and Safety Advisers Thanks to those of you who have responded to my postings for vacancies for a Health and Safety Trainer/Adviser, and posts in North/Midlands, South, and South Wales/South West. The quality of applications has been far higher than when we have advertised in eg the “Practitioner” when many candidates have fallen well below the minimum person specification (but whose CVs still have to be read in sufficient depth to enable us to justify our decisions and implement our equal opportunities policies). We have filled all these vacancies other than that for South Wales/South West but have been able to shortlist candidates for interview for this last vacancy. Hopefully this means that we will fill this last post in the near future. This will mean that we will have made 6 appointments since June. Two of our new staff have been recruited as a direct result of this forum!! It is now time for us to consolidate the team + ensure the smooth management of a major commission which took off in full on Monday. Future opportunities However, we would anticipate further expanding the team within the next few months.
