Posted By Jonathan Teale I have the NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 (distinction) I am looking to change career into H+S. I am currently a solicitor, specialising in litigation. I am therefore very familiar with Health and Safety Legislation. I have also been the H+S officer for my firm (65 persons) for 1 year, and have therefore carried out risks assessments, fire risk assessment, manual handling risk assessment, DSE assessments, etc. I now wish to make a change into a full time H+S job.I am looking for a job with some variety, i.e. maybe more than one site, high risk as well as low risk. In the long term, consultancy interests me (does anybody ever take on trainee consultants?). My lack of technical background should not be a disadvatage - I am a quick learner. Mental attitude is just as important as paper qualifications and experience. I am eager to gain experience. I am now looking for that job which will give me the experience. I am not expecting to be paid a solicitor's salary.I am looking to start a new career and therefore expect to be paid accordingly. My preferred locations are South West, Midlands, North. Can anybody help me?
