Posted By Hazel Harvey The NEBOSH General Certificate gives the underpinning knowledge for the NVQ level 3 in Health and Safety. Note this is the revised NVQ level 3 which came into operation in January last year. Both qualifications are a similar level and will only give Affiliate membership of IOSH. Also note the revised NEBOSH Construction Certificate is also at this level. For those finishing off an NVQ level 3 in Health and Safety Practice (withdrawn to new entrants on 31/12/02) the TechSP category of membership is still open, likewise for those on the old long version of the NEBOSH construction cert, which includes the General Cert. The TUC cert and other accredited quals at level 3 are unaffected by the change.
