Reporting to the General Manager, the Health and Safety Advisor provides specialist support to the business in planning, implementing & reviewing of health & safety activities to meet legal requirements and to satisfy the Northern Foods Health & Safety Policy. You will be expected to liaise on a day-to-day basis with production, engineering & all other site functions to ensure that they are advised upon & assisted with proactive health & safety initiatives. You will also be the liaison with the Company insurers, Health & Safety Executive & the Northern Foods Safety team. Therefore, the successful candidate will be a persuasive & credible communicator who can motivate & inspire at all levels to promote a strong safety culture. You will be expected to design & support site training programmes, therefore a proven record of safety training delivery will be essential. You will also be responsible for the accurate maintenance of site safety records & group statistics so a diagnostic approach is required. The successful candidate will hold a recognised health & safety qualification to diploma level as a minimum requirement. Flexible hours will be considered.
