Part of the market leading Northern Foods group, producing chilled recipe dishes for Safeway. Reporting to the General Manager, the Health and Safety Advisor provides specialist support to the business in planning, implementing & reviewing of health & safety activities to meet legal requirements and to satisfy the Northern Foods Health & Safety Policy. You will be expected to liaise on a day-to-day basis with production, engineering & all other site functions to ensure that they are advised upon & assisted with proactive health & safety initiatives. You will also be the liaison with the Company insurers, Health & Safety Executive & the Northern Foods Safety team. Therefore, the successful candidate will be a persuasive & credible communicator who can motivate & inspire at all levels to promote a strong safety culture. You will be expected to design & support site training programmes, therefore a proven record of safety training delivery will be essential. You will also be responsible for the accurate maintenance of site safety records & group statistics so a diagnostic approach is required. The successful candidate will hold a recognised health & safety qualification to diploma level as a minimum requirement. Flexible hours will be considered.
