I have recently passed the nebosh general and construction certificates and am applying to IOSH for Tech S P status.
I am the h&s manager for a design, manufacture and construction company of specialist structures who employ 45 people plus contractors on sites. I have complete autonomy in my duties that cover the factory and all the construction sites.
Is it possible for anyone to put a realistic salary figure to this job?
Thanks
Ray

I would say around 25k to 30k dependent of where in the country you are, 25k or so in my neck of the woods (deepest Devon)up to 30k in the South East. Maybe 27k in the Midlands/North. Construction seems to be a bit better paid than the "lower risk" environments, judging by the web and SHP adverts, esp. in the South East where there seems to be a real shortage of experienced people.
Hope this helps.

This is a difficult one especially as you are not fully qualified with only the Certificate(s) but in this area (Midlands)you would probably expect about £16-18k. If you had the Dip. and were a Corporate Member then about £25-30k. If I were you I would try and get qualified as soon as possible so you can start the process of registering as RSP, you could then sensibly ask for a sapary of around £30-35k. However it varies enourmously with where you are and with what your employer is prepared to pay.
Good luck getting it sorted
Linda
