Posted By Keith Morison I wonder if anyone can help me? I am a HSE Advisor and live in the far north of Scotland (north of Inverness). I wish to do the NVQ 4 in OHS, but am having no luck. Based on previous threads, I have tried Telford and Wolverhampton (who's prices are reasonable), but they won't take me on because of the distance. SCOSH at Strathclyde do a Postgraduate Certificate which will gain me MIOSH, but I have to wait until October (and it is also quite expensive). Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I would be willing to travel for assessments every couple of months or so. regards, Keith Morison

Posted By Lorna I am considering NVQ4 and have details of a Dundee based company. They have dealt with two of my colleagues, and they seem to be getting on okay. I will e-mail you the contact details

Posted By Pam Williamson Hello Keith, I too am having problems with NVQ 4 (I live in the North East of England), but this morning I received a pack from Balgownie Technology Centre in Aberdeen (NGT Safety Management). They offer this level at £1,395+VAT. Is this closer to you? Pam e-mail address is normanthomson@ngtsafety.co.uk

Posted By Lilian McCartney Have you tried Aberdeen College. In my time in Aberdeen they were expanding their H&S courses (NEBOSH cert and Dip at that time) so they might do SVQ. Just remebered they also run a distance learning risk assessment course - so this might mean they do others as well. The tel no. I had was 01224 612000 - not sure if it's still viable Good luck Lilian
