We are a company who are reviewing our Recruitment advertising budget.
Can you help me identify the sources that HSE professionals use to look for positions (other than this forum and SHP)?
Many Thanks
Richard

Geof,
We are reviewing where we advertise and I just wanted to check to see if I we are not missing resources (web and print) that SHE professionals use.
The tone of my initial mail is slightly vague but the Moderator insisted on this, so the post could not be construed as advertising
Regards,
Richard

Fair play that someone is asking the question !! Mostly the SHP, this forum, trade mags (building etc..).
Hope that's of help.

Thanks for the response Brett,
It was the trade papers and websites that were particularly of interest.
Does anyone regularly check the likes of Jobsite and Total Jobs?

Richard

Richard,
Yes I check these ones along with a good deal more such as: Sypol, Workthing, TopDog jobs, The Stotsman, The Telegraph, Jobcentre, HSE Recruitment Network, Reed, Principal People to name but a few.
It would seem I am a great advert.
The link I supplied in a previous post has all of these agencies and more. I regularly check each and every one in the list and have also supplied my CV to your company :)
I hope this helps a bit, and I hope it doesn't impose on any terms of use for this forum and advertising.

This is the best medium I know, as most people who access it are suitably qualified and are keen to keep up to date and in touch with others. Shp is also a good place and all IOSH members get a copy as part of their membership.

Many recruitment agencies advertise vacancies through Jobtrak, and I have had a response for most of the vacancies I have applied for.
Provincial newspapers should not be overlooked e.g. Derbyshire Times (weekly) Sheffield Star (jobs every Thursday).
Many individuals hold their local paper in high regard, and the advert quite often ends up in a free paper as well.
Last year I appealed through the IOSH site, and received very good and encouraging response including one from you Richard.
In the end, after countless applications and many interviews, I was invited to apply for a post with a prestigious organisation, and secured a proper H&S job in February.
For all those who are disheartened, please keep trying and applying, you will find the employer who needs just what you have to offer. I can recommend that sense of pride on your first day as a professional.

Great to hear about your success Paul. If you want to get in touch in the future please note the different contacts.
