Posted By Clive Polkinghorne On Monday last 2 colleagues and I met to talk about our results in the Nebosh General Certificate taken in June this year; we live in West Cornwall. We agreed that we wanted to continue to do something in Occupational Health and Safety, as we all felt that the Certificate didn't open the doors we expected. One wanted to do a NEBOSH Diploma, another NVQ Level 4 and the other a Degree. We agreed that we would depart and research the various options, taking into account location, and access to the course. I researched the many previous questions on the subject in this forum, I searched the web; but could find nothing to help; I am back to square one in not knowing what to do and unable to provide information to the other 2. Can anyone help my friends and I, as to who delivers, the NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 4 and degree in the West of England, even South Wales? We would also consider distance learning? I will not ask which is the best route as I know this question only opens the "old marketing exercise". Thanks to everyone who replies CliveP

Posted By Hugh Maxwell Hello Clive, Not so sure about south west of England. Can vouch for the course ran by Wolverhampton College at NVQ Level 4. Very cost effective too (only about £400 per person). Ken Davies is the course tutor to talk to and he will be back in early September. Can be contacted on e mail at Wolverhampton. Have a chat with him. He has students as far afield as Scotland ! E-Mail: daviesk@wolverhamptoncollege.ac.uk. Hope this assists. Regards, Hugh

Posted By Linda Crossland-Clarke Hi I have an assessor that makes regular visits into summerset. I know still a bit of a way! We give a lot of direct email support and in various forums on the web. Candidates collect evidence off a workbook format that is already cross referenced, so cutting down time spent on administration. Customer service is very important to me, so I ensure we don't over trade neglecting the people we have onboard. I'll send you some information direct. Linda SHE Knows, 077 363 117 15

Posted By John Caboche Clive, Cornwall college do the NVQ 4, under it's Cornwall business school banner. Plymouth CFE do the old and new style NEBOSH diploma. Both colleges have websites with the relevent contact numbers on. John

Posted By Clive Polkinghorne John, Thanks for your help, Plymouth College do the Diploma, but Cornwall Business School do not do the NVQ Level 4. The closest to date for the NVQ is Bristol? nearly 200 miles away!

Posted By Julie Peake Hi Clive, I can vouch for Plymouth CFE. I've just completed my NEBOSH Dip 1 with them and found them to be really good, with a variety of lecturers from different backgrounds. I understand they're gearing up for the new Diploma, so definitely worth considering. I'm hoping to go back for more!
