Posted By Julie Peake I'm hoping to have passed my NEBOSH Dip 1, and am waiting results by 3rd Sept. I have 1 year's experience in a H&S role and have just been made H&S Officer within my company. Does anyone have any idea where I can find out what pay scale I should be looking for if I qualify? I'm based in Devon, but most of the jobs coming up seem to be London way or much further north. Any advice greatfully rec'd. Thanks, Julie

Posted By Hilary Charlton How long is a piece of string? Try search on Yahoo Job Search - they have a "what are you worth" section where you can input more or less what position you are, your area and it will give you the high point, low point and mean providing it has sufficient information. Posted By CHRISTOPHER HAYWARD Even allowing for the old adage of "lies damn lies and statistics" Payfinder makes interesting reading for H&S people. It seems to mirror what you can glean from studying SHP appointments and the agency web sites i.e H&S pay at middle to senior levels isn't great compared to other professions. However the consultant rates don't seem to tie in with the last survey in SHP. Could it be they are too busy looking for work to bother with online surveys?

Posted By Julie Peake Many thanks for your suggestions. Payfinder has given me a better idea and allowed me to find region-specific info. Thanks again all.
