Jacobs Babtie, a member of the Jacobs group of companies, is a 4000 strong technical and management consultancy with offices throughout the UK and overseas. We advise clients in a wide range of industries including power, transport, utilities, healthcare, education, docks, mines, prisons, defence, nuclear and waste management. See www.jacobsbabtie.com for more details.
We employ over 30 qualified health and safety advisers and trainers, including 17 corporate members of IOSH.
Of these 28 work within our H&S consultancy unit.
The diversity of Jacobs Babtie’s operations offers H&S professionals at all levels, i.e. from trainee to RSP the chance to take on a challenging workload that will enhance their career development.
We have found over 10 staff with varying backgrounds and experience through this forum.
We are now looking to fill an opening for a Regional H&S Adviser in South Wales and the South West, based at Cardiff, Bristol or Exeter.
The successful candidate will be likely to have attained at least TechSP status. Experience of the construction industry and/or the development/delivery of H&S training would be a distinct advantage.
You will be looking for a position where you can broaden your experience. Recent and current workload in this Region includes advice and training for the National Assembly of Wales, advice, training and audit for major manufacturers, input into projects at Devonport and Magnox Berkeley, planning supervision and site audits on Royal Mail projects, and input into our commission to audit Network Rail’s HSW management systems. Also we provide advice and training to our internal client, so that there is opportunity to get involved in the full range of Jacobs Babtie projects, e.g. relating to the dualling of the A465, and our framework commission for the Environment Agency.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV to me
preferably by email to
peter.gotch@jacobs.com
or by post to Jacobs Babtie 95 Bothwell Street, Glasgow G2 7HX
