Will graduate this year with a Bsc (hons) in Health & Safety Systems from an Irish university. I was just enquiring
about job opportunities in EHS/consultancy or general industry for graduates. I have five months work placement completed. Irish companies usually demand 3/5 years experience. Whats the current situation in the UK? Do many recruit graduates?

Yes of course some companies employ graduates, you should be looking to start as a team member though, an assistant. You will find that positions are available and having a degree will open doors quicker especially if you have the right practical ability.
I was an assistant for a couple of years, and then a manager of a very large public entertainment venue. I now work in the City.
Part of your profession is communication and selling ideas ... sell yourself as an opportunity to a company whose safety systems need help. There are hundreds of such companies.
You may need to disersify to become more rounded, but don't we all?
Read the Practitioner and put your CV into some of the agencies over here.
