Posted By Steve Conway The Highly Flammable Liquids etc Regs 1972 require empty vessels which have not been made free from vapour to be kept closed and returned immediately to safe place or storeroom. Also containers need to be cleared before return to supplier. I'm after practical solutions to clear the vapours from glass containers - what about purging with nitrogen for example? Cheers Steve

Posted By John Webster The simplest,of course, is to fill with water (although there may be a problem with disposal of water now contaminated with the original liquid unless your site already has an interceptor or such like) John
