Posted By Graham Baldwin I am trying to find details of how to write a 'basis of safety' for a chemical reaction. I have the recent HSE guidance on reaction hazards, but this does not have much on the specific requirements. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Posted By Roger K. Bentley Graham, I think what you need is something such as one of the reactants is added under conditions such that it will be consumed as added so no accumulation occurs. However I would like to know more about the background to your question. Please call me on 01257 278848 to discuss. Roger
