Does anybody know of any standards on the installation of a Diesel tanks. The tank will be sited within the factory boundary and will be used for the filling of FLT's, bobcats and front end loaders .

As far as I am aware the flashpoint of diesel is 70 C and therefore is not termed as flammable.

I am particular interested in the following requirements, segregation, bunding ,tank size limitations, specific electrical requirements and environmental issues (eg spillages during vehicle filling)

Kevin,

If you go to the environment agency web site www.environment-agency.gov.uk you will be able to access and print off a document PPG2 guidleines on above ground oil storage tanks. The information shoulds be sufficient for all your needs.
