Posted By Stuart Hufton As safety Advisor to a local authority I am not clear if the water systems in our council houses fall under the new legionnaires’ disease ACOP. Does anyone know if local authority housing stock falls under the “trade, business or other undertaking” definition? (I know this being hotly debated in connection with the new asbestos regs). I know that I can do a risk assessment that will exclude them form the need for regular inspection anyway. However, are there any recorded incidents of legionella contracted from domestic systems?
