Does anyone have any information on the relevant items covered by BSEN 1088 I am told it has a relevance to interlocks.

The European standard EN1088 'Interlocking devices associated with guards' gives guidance on safety interlock switches which interlock guard doors with the power source of the hazard. It is intended to be used in conjunction with EN60947-5-1 - Electromechanical switches and an equivalent standard for magnetic and proximity type switches.(which will probably be numbered EN 60947-5-3)
