Does anyone out there have views or knowledge of possible implementation dates of impending changes that will effect H&S?
What issues raised in "revitalising" will happen without the involvement of parliament? Or will it end up as all spin and no punch. I seem to remember it was going to be the biggest thing since the '74 act.
In the real world, what effect will Turnbull have? I work for a multi-national not listed on the UK stockmarket.
Anyone like to predict when this new Safety Bill will happen and if it will contain anything of relevance to H&S at work?
Finally, which government dept is now responsible for H&S now that the DETR has been chopped up.
Who will be the minister to take credit and deny responsibility?

The last paragraph will be easily answered if you have a look at the web site below
http://www.detr.gov.uk/changes/index.htm
It makes interesting reading as the responsibility for the Fire Services also moves from the Home Office to the new DTLR.

The progress made on RHS is on the RHS "Project Plan" and it is on the website:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/revital/rhs-01.htm
There has been some real progress and we await the progress of the Safety Bill in the next session of the parliament.
