Posted By Richard Forster Does anyone have details/information regarding the possible risks associated with constant daily use of headsets eg staff working at a Call Centre, Helpdesks, Dictation with a computer etc?

Posted By Frank Cooper Richard, A couple of items spring to mind as follows:- 1) To ensure that the headsets are of good fit and do not cause any unecessary pressure to the wearers head or ears.(Where they are adjustable, make sure wearers know how to do this.) 2) To ensure that they are kept in a clean condition in order to prevent infection to the ear. (I don't recommend people swopping head sets - it's much better if each user has their own) Operators also need somewhere to store their headsets when not in use. 3) To be aware of incidents of acoustic shock which has a myriad of causes and can be quite painful. Make sure each case is investigated properly. 4) If the headset manufacturer offers advice then make sure it is passed on to wearers as part of any initial training you give to them. I hope this helps, Frank Cooper
