Help!! I have come across 2 gas cylinders at the rear of one my properties, I am trying to establish where they have come from the closest source is the near by pub? may be used for the pumps?
Does anyone know what 'Arcton 22 & Arcton 502' is used for (markings on the cylinders)

Both cylinders would have contained a refrigerant gas used to top up commercial fridges and freezers. Your local "friendly" refigerant engineer shoild be able to give you details of the gas. You will probably have to get a specialist waste contractor to remove them for you.
Hope this helps.
Martin.

I know this sounds bad but if they are not on your property you should report them to the Environment Agency and leave them where they are.
Many farmers in my area have had to bear the costs of removing waste that has been fly tipped on their land.
If you take them on to your property your Company will then become responsible for the disposal costs. Stand to be corrected.

Arcton is an ICI Trade name for its series of refregerants.
Whereas there is a Local Authority Retrival Scheme for such discarded LPG cylinders in partnership with LPGA/others, I am afraid that it does not cover non-LPG cylinders.
