The equipment in our production area is sensitive to electrostatic discharges (ESD) therefore workers are required to wear wrist straps which are connected to the work benches. We are looking into getting wrists straps, however testing of the straps to ensure that they are ESD safe prior to entering the work area require workers to be tested with 9 or 16 Volt pulses every three seconds. If you have any information on any studies that have been conducted on such wrist straps or have information on potential long term effects I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Marie
