I am looking to purchase a Type 2 noise meter to conduct basic assessments in a range of different workplaces. Would anyone know what type are quite easy to use (I have heard of Cirrus but are they any easy to use or does anyone think they are over complex / have problems been reported).

Willing to spend about £1k for the right machine.

Thanks, B

We had a gentlman from E&GM (Ayeshire) come and show us a range of models and makes and made sure got something right for what we required.

Im happy to supply contact details if you cannot find them on the interweb, would certainly recommend them for the Scottish and border areas

We have used Cirrus for many years. Their training is also very good. Usually can swing a couple of discounted places with a new instrument.

Another suggestion would be Andy Watson at Acoustic Consultancy Services 0141 339 7536
