Posted By Brenda H Does anyone actually carry out the recommended daily checks (not normally recorded)?
Just wondering if you've got near on a 1000 properties how this would be resourced. Or whether you go straight for weekly checks where the risk is considered low?

Our standards state that we should...however, if you are asking whether they aredone in reality then I probably would say not. As they are not recorded then it is hard to prove otherwise.
Where there is a risk we give the task to specific and named individuals in a department, office, unit, etc. It is in their job description and they receive and sign to say that they understand what there duties are. To make sure something is being done they have to record it on a weekly basis, recording any issues. The supervisor are mandated to undertake a random check every 4-weeks, including a check of paperwork.

Posted By Brenda H Yeah, it's difficult isn't it. Of course we 'should', but how on earth would anyone, in a realistic world, get round and do these checks daily!!

Posted By A Campbell What would be reasonably practical?
Zone areas and introduce checking system... nominate, train people to carry out the task that could fit in within their areas of work?
