I am having some trouble finding the correct light meter limits for my type of production work. We have a variety of different tasks that go on in different areas of the factory, i have a reading of 500 lux for inspection work that was set by our insurance company. Can anyone tell me the limits for assembly work, machine operators, and guys who generally install and work on computers?

Many thanks

I do not have a paper or electronic copy to hand but the best advice I can give is to look at the HSE guide HSG38 'Lighting at Work'.

This should tell you everything you need from recollection.
