Posted By Chris G I have recently been sent a MHDS from the USA that includes a pictogram that I have never seen before & can't work out what it is meant to be. The picture is ths conventional prohibition red circle with a red diagonal line. The image is an outline in black of a square. with two edges vertical.
It is listed in the "other classifications" part of the data sheet underthe heading DSCL (EEC) (Europe).
Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks in advance,
Chris G.

Posted By Tabs As pictograms are supposed to be intuitive, I'd say this one fails ... all I can think of (sensibly) is "Do not enclose" (box).
Can't say I've ever noticed it before.

Posted By Kenneth Patrick It refers to Transport of Dangerous Goods. ADR in EU and TDG in USA/Canada. I am pretty sure it means that it is not subject to these restrictions.

Posted By Kenneth Patrick No I am wrong, that symbol is similar. It refers to Dangerous Substances Classification and Labelling, the R&S phrases. But I think I am correct to say it means that it is not classified.

Posted By Graeme L As far as I can tell, the symbol means that the product is not classified under the Canadian Transport of Dangerous Goods regulations.
