Depending how long it takes to do your nails you may be exceeding the occupational exposure limit for the solvent (ethyl acetate) in nail varnish!!
TWA value: 400ppm over 15 mins (1.5 g per m3)
STEL value: 200ppm over 8 hours (0.7g per m3)
Yes we can smell it in my office.
COSHH sheets with all nail varnish.......???

It is a disgusting Smell. It would certainly annoy me if i could smell it in my office.
Excellent way of telling someone to get on with their job too. (unless it was lunchtime)

I always though nail varnish remover was ethyl acetate. In any event, why do you say it is a non-VOC? Both methyl and ethyl acetate have boiling points well below 100ºC.

Still think it's a step too far when it's someone's job to paint other people's nails all day? It's amongst the reasons why anyone working in a beauty salon or nail bar should be using a downdraught table.
