I am working with a company who carries out minor sloping roof repairs on domestic properties, typically jobs that last for an hour or two. Standards are generally good with the tasks well managed but no formal training has ever been provided to employees who carry out these tasks.
In order to ensure that all these employees have a minimum level competency I am currently trying to identify a suitable training course for these employees. There seems to be an abundance of training courses for flat roof working or rope access but little for minor works on domestic properties.
Has anyone came across an organisation that can provide training suitable for this type of work ?

General advice and assistance for a wide variety of risks, but the provision of detailed advice or credible training in relation to roof working is outside of my competencies. Why the query ?

Some of the better training providers who train in construction and WAH will I'm sure be able to structure a course to meet your needs.
I think the questions arising here are more about the controls in place wrt WAHR. The times you mention look to be beyond "short duration" work, for example, suggesting that some form of improved access and edge protection (e.g. easidec)other than ladders should be a consideration.
In other words, 'correct' training must be centered around the 'correct' method?

It's a case of working out how you'll do the job *before* choosing the training course, as the options are far too varied. You could be working off scaffold, MEWPs, ladders, with or without harnesses and ropes, and so forth.
As the previous reply says, most WAH trainers will deliver a course, but you can't expect them to cover every possible working method in the same day, especially as domestic properties are known for their lack of agreement on what shape a roof should be!
