Hi,

Searched through google and found these: http://www.handy-tag.com.../HavTag/HavTag_Main.html looks like they would do the job, lot of options around though. We use a mixture - Scafftag do a miniature size tag and holder which you write the details onto.

try using different coloured cable ties - much cheaper and just as effective as the bespoke systems that i have seen

I have not yet come across a tool that cannot have a tie fitted in some way but many that cannot have a sticker fitted and/or the sticker comes off after a short while

All you do is ensure that your staff know which colour means what and away you go - back the cable ties up with a proper management system

I have been doing this in one form or another since 1996 [before proper and reliable hand held HAVS assessment computer tools were readily available!] and have passed a number of HSE in-depth assessments of the HAVS management system and presented the system in many court cases!

Irrespective of which way you go its the overall management system that counts not just the tie / sticker etc that is on a tool!

NB: Some of the hand held battery drills are giving off much higher readings than similar but mains fed kit - this area caught me out as I left such kit till last missing the point entirely!

best of luck
