All,

I have noticed on a number of threads requests for information on Training Providers providing specific courses and/or in specific locations. This would seem to a valid use of forum. However, the AUG clearly state that the forum should not be used to promote/sell your services. Again a fair standpoint given the purpose of the forum.

However, if the request is specific about wanting to know if anybody can offer the courses mentioned in the required location, shouldn't training providers be allowed to post a short reply informing them of their services and details of a suitable method contact (e.g. email address and/or phone number). This could/should include a statement that the poster is, or works for a training provider.

What are your opinions on this?

(ps. I fully accept that if the thread requests recommendations then training providers should stay out of the debate!)

.... And yes, I do work for a training provider!

Paul,

Thanks for that, I'd missed it!
