Posted By DBSmyth My company is increasingly getting requests by customers who order concrete blocks/bricks to lift the bales up onto either scaffolding or first floor joists/slabs. I have looked at LOLER and am not convinced that lorry loaders are designed for this. What is the advice from fellow practitioners on this.

Posted By alex mccreadie It is covered in the best practice guide BS7121 PART 4 It is becoming more frequent now as the cranes being fitted to Lorry Loaders are exceeding 20Tonne. It must be treated like a crane and Lift Plans Method Statements Risk Assessments all in place. If you are delivering under CPA Terms and conditions ask the customer for their Lift Plan and who their Appointed Person is? Good Luck Alex
