Would anyone have a simple fire risk assessment template which could be adapted for a residential home setting that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Thanks in advance

Take a look at the advice available here;

http://www.communities.g...resafetylaw/aboutguides/

If you look down the r/h/s, there are templates available that appear suitable for your needs.

I have always found that to read through the guidance documents and make up my own personal template is much better than using someone elses. I learn from the DIY aspect. I suggest you try that.

Gillz,

....or you could contact your local Fire and Rescue Service who may well have a "pro-forma" which they would let youe use.

You may also like to think about purchasing
PAS 79:2007 from BSI as this contains a fire risk assessment template, plus plenty of detail on the undertaking of fire risk assessments.

I use the above and to date the fire brigade have had no problems with the assessments undertaken by myself.

Gillian, CRIM is spot on.

Obtain templates if you wish and it will probably help out, but to design your own after looking at the legislative requirements will mean that what you endup with is exactly what you need. Whats more is that you will also understand it as you developed / created it.
