We had an inspection from the Environmental Agency people and they want us to submit vapour (xylene) monitoring reports to them on a monthly basis. Since these vapours are not from a point source to the environment, what would be the best way to measure its concentration. A personal sampling might reveal the concentration inside the workshop, but how to measure its release outside the workshop??

Any help?

That's a tricky one; try asking them how they would measure it.
