???? Ref: Codes on Wheels/ Disc's ??? Currently looking at a abrasive wheel presentation, but slightly confused by the idenification markings that was given 27 A 30 R 5 RF 41......
I believe it breaks down like this from BSEN 6103
27 = type of Abrasive
A = Nature of Abrasive
30 = Grain size
R = Grade
5 = Structure
RF = Nature of bond
41 = Type of bond, etc .......

Which part indicates the type of wheel??? as HSG17
I have chosen the number 27 & 41 in the breakdown for this reason
Would also like guidance on where to find info on speed rating band found on large discs l

The types are listed on the subsequent pages of the document cited, with recommendations for the different specifications.

In other words, the code specifies how the wheel was fabricated, the type is basically the shape, which is suited to different applications
