I was hoping that someone might be able to clarify something for me? I was always led to believe that when a temporary electric board (builders board) was installed you were required to obtain a certificate from the installing electrician. I have recently requested this from an electrician who has said that I don't need one as the markings he has made on the board, and that I don't understand, identify that it has been tested. I have had a surf around but cannot find anything definitive. Can anyone help with some guidance or direction pointing? Thanks

I agree with Bob. HSG 141 (Electrical safety on construction sites) states; “It is strongly recommended that temporary site distribution systems, new permanent distribution systems or alterations to existing systems should be tested on completion. A certificate of adequacy needs to be issued by the person carrying out the test.”

Thanks, I thought that was the way forward but not having HSG 141 and not being able to download it anymore, I wanted to see what everyone else thought.
