I'm looking to do a teaching certificate so I can develop internal training schemes at our firm but I'm not sure which one to go for. In the medium term I am looking to move to a new company so I want something that transfers well in the Health and Safety field. Most jobs I have seen ask for PTLLS (Preparing To Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) but from what I understand it is being phased out in 2015 and replaced by AET (Award in Education and Training).
If anyone is in the same boat or has feedback on which one to go for it would be greatly appreciated.

PTLLS was phased out from last year, of which the L3 Award in Education and Training replaced it.
I took the award in edu and training last year, it was a very informative course, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

So is the PTTLS qualification still recoginised?
Does anyone know if there is a fast track method to transfer the skills gained on the original C&G7303 PTTLS to swap over to the new Award in Education and Training?

Yes Jim PTTLS is still recognised to give you the short answer.

Although PTTLS and higher have been replace they are still recognised both nationally and internationally. I enjoyed the course and its replacement is very similar standard. It does help you become a good practitioner too.
