Hello. I recently got evaluation of my degree from UK NARIC where my Occupational safety degree is considered comparable to UK Masters degree standard.
As I'm currently working in England I would like to know (before I pay and join IOSH) will my degree be recognized and what level of membership will I get (tech - grad IOSH?)
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers!

I would suggest contacting the IOSH membership team as they should be able to advise on this.

In theory you should be eligible for Graduate Membership if its evaluation is done as per UK standards, but for IOSH they keep looking for specific elements and module of the course and thats the reason not all Degrees are approved by IOSH...
IOSH normally assess the applicants qualification for a nominal fee before and when you join this fee will be reduced from membership fee, This is what happening before.. Dont know if policy is changed...

Are you going to go for Chartered Membership. IOSH could do with some new blood

Most, if not all, those who manage to get Graduate Level membership of IOSH would typically would aspire, and indeed go on to become Chartered Members.

You would think so Jay but less than 30% of members are Chartered - hence new blood!

Yes my plan is to develop as far as I can in Health and safety area so I will try to become Chatered Member. As soon as they approve my membership I am starting with it.

Maybe this question is a bit off topic for this subject but I was wondering what type of NEBOSH certification do I need to get to prove that I am familiar with British standards and legislation? I have degree in Occupational safety but I want to be elegible to work under British regulations.

At basic stage, NEBOSH National General Certificate will give you some basic familiarization regarding legislation but not British standards
