Hi,

I have some family in Canada and looking for HSE opportunities there, my latest HSE qualification is the NVQ 5 level (Grad IOSH) and most of my experience in the oil & gas industry. I know Canada will have national qualifications does anyone know what these are and if lower tier qualifications can be completed on-line to gain the Canadian guidelines?

I have asked family out their put they haven't come up with much, thought a few here may have some experience of working/learning in Canada.

Regards

Hi Md - I wrote a chapter for Tolleys Heath and safety at work about working in the USA and Canada, if you can access a copy it might be useful and has many links. It is soon to be updated but the original should still be a useful resource.

Are you a member of IOSH - if so we have a mutual recognition with the BCRSP https://www.bcrsp.ca/ - you need to talk to membership about this. The CSSE https://www.csse.org/ is a sister organisation to IOSH, very friendly bunch and if you use their forums you might even find someone willing to help you find a job.

Contacting these organisations and the regional chapter of CSSE would be a starting point for me. If you end up in Banff I ski..... just saying.... Good luck
