Hi all
I am looking for an opportunity to gain some work experience as a HSE adviser in or around the west of Scotland.
I'm currently working as a working foreman joiner in the construction industry but am looking to move into health and safety as I feel this would be a more enjoyable and challenging career for me.

I recently completed my Nebosh General Certificate and would like to start working to my diploma but feel I lack the experience needed to move in this direction.

I sub contract to my current company and generally have one or two days a week spare that I could use to gain experience and further my knowledge.

If anyone could point me in any direction or offer up any advice this would be very much appreciated. Many thanks Jonathan

Hi

Could you not ask the company who you are sub contacted to, if they need any health and safety carried out even on your days off, even if its volunteer or shadowing, it would able to to gain some experience, or even ask your local charities or community centres.
