Hi Does is anyone else have problems with there course provider. I currently paid with a course provider to study for the Nebosh diploma. It appears bums on seats, as they have given me no tutor, shown no empathy and to be frank shown no interest in me as a student.. Although Nebosh investigated and the course provider passed which they have fulfilled all the criteria nebosh asks for but this wasn't the problem. The problem being there is no support from the course provider. Just wondering if any body else had this type of issue..?

Why don't you name them on here to stop anyone else using them and also report to NEBOSH as they are accrediting the course and it might not be in their interest to do so.

They were investigated by NEBOSH and obviously passed the criteria but I do suspect this was the minimum requirements. I agree they did deliver the course as stipulated in there criteria, the problem was the lack of support given after the classroom based lecturers, no assigned tutor support throughout the course. Even now I need guidance on some questions I have but there is no-one available for me to contact about these queries which is very frustrating. Nobody looked at my re-assigned dissertation, again no one available although I have asked time and time again... I'm not sure what purpose naming and shaming would accomplish as far as I'm concerned the damage has being done..

I wish I had attended RRC I have purchased course material from RRC as my own course provider couldn't provide any additional material or guide me to relevant material. Unfortunately the tutors I had gave the impression they were there for a quick weeks work I suspect they had knowledge as I wouldn't expect anything less with a combined working age of 150 years of health and safety experience together, unfortunately they appeared reluctant to share this knowledge or information.

I used RRC for 3 NEBOSH courses and found them very helpful, I even dropped couple of pieces of work in by hand to Wimbledon office. I did all my courses online, which takes a certain amount of focus and discipline probably needed most help with Environmental Management as more challenging. Can you cancel, refund?

It is easy to get side-tracked, but on the plus side I can study when I want to and for how long I want to. I find during a whole day-long class my attention drops in and out as my mind wonders. At least this way I can stop when that happens and come back to it when I'm ready, not missing vital information. I guess its all about what works best. I will take the self-discipline required rather than the in-flexibility of the classroom for this course. For me discipline is easy: I really want to get Dip, and I am scared of failing and having to re-take. I just focus on what it means to me to get this. Plus I can study via my laptop, on my patio in the sunshine!

I completed mine some years ago now at a residential provider, it depends whether you have a family, children etc. that would never work for me at home....

I do have two young children. I do the training after they have gone to bed around 8pm. Gives me a good two hours per night to study so I have a clear cut off period. I then set myself a goal of what I want to study each evening. I don't do any study over the weekends as that is family time. I do snatch some time at work, lunchtime, etc. Like I said it is each to their own.
