I'm a health and safety officer with a pharmaceutical company and have worked there for 21 years. I'm in my early sixties and I now feel I have done as much as possible in my current job.I would like to work on new challenge hoping that age won't be a hindrance.I have the NEBOSH general certificate (2005) I am also a qualified manual handling trainer . I won't post up all my qualifications as I'm just curious to see if there are any opportunities out there for me.

Hi Trapale,

I would say it's never too late. Have you thought about consultancy work in your particular field or working contracts? Pay is generally higher than full time due to less benefits.

I agree it may not be too late but, given you have been working in a specialist industry for a long time and a NEBOSH GC is a basic h&s qualification, I wonder what your prospects are getting a decent role except perhaps in your own field?

Perhaps more detail about what your aspirations are in terms of job, industry, salary expectations, etc, might be useful.
