Just because something hasn't been found to be dangerous yet doesn't mean it won't be found to be so in the future - plenty of examples to prove the case - including asbestos, microbeads, opium, thalidomide, lead paint, mercury, tobacco etc. Some interesting links below which highlights some of the crazy products/uses of items which were once considered to be safe before we realised the error of our ways?
