Hello,

Is anyone aware of where it actually states ( if stated at all ) the minimum/maximum requirement for the amount of  trained First Aiders and Fire Marshalls required for a Manufacturing Business operating in the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?

Im aware of what UK Fire Regs state and the general approach to the Risk /Business ect. amount of appointed persons  but I was wondering , if as in the UAE , they set requirements depending on what category of Trade Licence you have.

I have scoured MOL , GOSI sites and the KSA Labour Law but no reference to this.

It works in my favour if it doesnt state it ( Im begining to believe it doesnt) so I can use common sense approach but thought Id ask if anyone has experienced this before.

Regards,

Butros

Not sure if it helps, but in my experience the Saudi's follow UK safety legislation for a lot of things, but it is not always applied evenly. Many project workers are from the Phillipines or other poor countries and they are treated differently to European and Saudi employees.
thanks 1 user thanked nic168 for this useful post.

Hi Nic,

Thank you.  We use UK as best practice when no local requirements in place.

Alwasy seems to be a winner.

Thanks again,
