Hi All,

Wondered if i could get some advice, i've jsut started a new role at a landscaping company. Theyve jsut purchased two new ride on lawn mowers, i've found the vibration levels but two are listed for the machines.

Max vibration on the steering wheel (m/s2) 6.37

Max vibration on drivers seat (m/s2) 1.06

When working out usage times which reading do you work from or both?

TIA

It is both that require consideration.

The drivers seat for Whole Body Vibration (these are expected in three planes x, y & z)

The steering wheel figure would be used for Hand Arm Vibration

Thanks for this.

The issue i have is i've got a new ride on lawn mower to look into.

The manufactur vibration details provided are:

HAV at the steering wheel = 6.37                     WBV= 1.06

When you mention to take both into consideration, how is this done? do i combine both readings to work the usage limits?

TIA

No they are two separate things that you consider separately, and hope that both are below their respective safe thresholds.
