Health risks from extreme outdoor work in Qatar. Between April and October, Qatar's humid subtropical climate becomes unbearable, and temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius. St. Qatar becomes unbearable, and temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius. St. Qatar's humid subtropical climate becomes unbearable, and temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius. During this period, the high humidity and extreme temperatures put workers, employees, and the general outdoor population at risk for heat stress and exhaustion.

To comply with the occupational health regulations, schedule outdoor work for early morning hours and late afternoons. During the peak heat hours, employees should only carry out minimal physical activity outside. Ensure there are ample shaded rest areas with a rest and break structure to minimise exposure to heat for all employees. During these breaks, ensure there is water and workers are encouraged to rehydrate frequently.

Supervisors need to ensure that stress and exhaustion to employees is monitored closely, rehydrated, and given rest time. Training, awareness, programs, and enforced breaks at regular intervals will ensure that individual employees and the entire staff as a whole will comply with Qatar's occupational health regulations. Updating the heat safety measures in Qatar will ensure an increase in a safe and productive environment.

Daniel

Looking at your profile on these Forums I see that your name was registered on 3 October with this your first contribution two days later. So, if you are a real human, then welcome.

....and if you are a real human then I apologise in advance for any offence you might take from what I have to write.

Your thread seems to be a statement rather than posing any question or even inviting debate.

The content LOOKS like what some AI might have produced if that AI had been rather poorly programmed so as to repeat text e.g.

Between April and October, Qatar's humid subtropical climate becomes unbearable, and temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius

....immediately followed by:

Qatar becomes unbearable, and temperatures exceed 45 degrees Celsius.

Further you have introduced two letters and a full stop "St." which if included just once might be some slip of the fingers but when that has also been repeated my immediate reaction was what is "St." supposed to mean if not Saint and Qatar is not a saint.

I even wondered whether St. could stand for "strait" so put the words saint Qatar into Google - lots of hits suggesting I might wish to book into the St. Regis hotel in Doha.

For what it's worth apparently St. Regis John Francis Regis is the patron saint of lacemakers and medical social workers and I guess that there are some of both of those professions working in Qatar.

Now, IF you are a real human being, it might help if you start by pointing to the legislation that HAS been put into force in Qatar to mitigate the risks of heat stress at work, perhaps comparing those with laws elsewhere in the Middle East and beyond.

That might provoke a stimulating debate, which most of the users of the Forums who live in more temperature climates could learn from.

However, my suspicion is that you are just another bot or other actor invading the IOSH Forums.

....and possibly that this is a trial post with the adverts yet to follow, which would follow a pattern on these Forums.
