"Ever thought of reading the RIDDOR guidance and reaching your own decision? Just saying" An unnecessarily rude and sarcastic initial response to a request for information, followed by a weak attempt at justification citing a lack of clarity in the original question. Typical of so many on this forum. If you can't respond to a question in a positive manner it's probably best not to respond at all. That would make this forum a much better place I reckon.
Not only rude but ironic considering he went to great lengths re how finding out things for yourself was a great learning tool. A great pity he doesn't appear to have mastered the art of good manners yet. Apparently.

This is a open (open being the key word there) discussion forum where 99.9% of the question's answered could be solved by referring to guidance or using Google (other search engines available). However as H&S Legislation is open to interpretation and much found from a Internet search could be wrong why not ask on here from "professionals" as this is meant to be a place to ask questions, seek advice, points of view etc. 'if you have nothing worth saying, say nothing at all'

Another forum cracker! A thought for those who comment 'if in doubt report it as a RIDDOR'. Many H&S practitioners have to submit periodical data to clients or HQ, which normally includes RIDDORs. If a RIDDOR was reported and it was deemed not to be a RIDDOR it would be at best embarrassing, at worst a lengthy explanation.
