I think it would depend on what area you would like to specialise on. Fire? Noise? Environment? Construction? Training? Good luck!

Dear all, I am currently in the Food industry and want to move up the ladder. I am not sure if it is the right industry for me on a long term. I think long term the rail industry or Oil and gas and that is the area I need experience and training. Thanks

Kojo Offshore - you probably need to target onshore first - may be do some training in requirements of COMAH and process safety. Rail - A sector where still the operators tend to bias towards spelling out prior rail experience - not recognising that those from other sectors may bring lessons to be learned. You won't get to do a personal track safety course until you are working for a railway operator or contractor.
