Why are they being banned and if it is a safety related reason then why wait until 21st March? Surely if there is a problem there is a problem now?

What if there is an incident in the meantime?

I had to ban scooters in an office once!
A PA working for one of our departmental managers took to using a scooter to get from her office to her boss’s office. I pointed out that someone would have to take the blame if there was an accident and wasn’t going to be the business.

After watching the attached video, we are very careful about mobility scooters

from the article; Alex Mitchell Tanner said: "This is really disappointing. The park is too big for little legs to get all the way round. Many people will miss out due to a few complaints."

No wonder we are an obese nation!! I remember..... being dragged around by my cuff, snivelling and stumbling, trying to catch up, only to be led off again after everyone else had rested except me.....

never did me any harm... taught me to keep up and stretched my length to a gangly 6' frame. Them were the days - good ol' Marwell I say

When my kids had "little legs" they mainly walked until they were tired (usually with the protest that "my legs are breaking"). Then they had a ride on dad's shoulders.
Maybe there is a shortage of dads these days.

I live very near by this Zoo and agree , get rid of the scooters, get kids walking, as for comments ref little legs, as one of you has said, he can carry his kids when they get tired, unless he uses the scooter too.
