Hi All, i am looking to do the following courses via distance learning , IEMA associate exam, Internal Auditor 18001, and award in education and training level 3. Does anyone have previous experience of these courses via distance learning and any recommendations of providers. I am self funding these courses so i dont want to make a mistake with the provider. Any advice and info would be great. Peter

Hi - can only give info on the IEMA - I did it D/L through Bath Uni and had the support of tutors when needed. Good coursework notes too. Sorry cannot help on the other courses.

Not done pure distance learning, but, something for you to ask any provider is "What's your pass rate?" and "How does that compare to the average pass rate?"

Don't just ask about pass rate ask them how well they do about predicting individuals pass results. Have undertaken further education by full time, part time and distance learning. For one course my provider was happy to say they had a 75% pass rate - and were predicting I would be boarder line distinction. I was given border line fail! Changed to a different provider and got the results they predicted.

some areas are suited to distance learning but education areas e.g. award in education and training level 3 must [in my view] have practical experience in undertaking training etc. as a part of the learning experience best of luck
