I am a health and safety specialist seeking opportunities in the North East & North Yorkshire (particularly interested in Middlesbrough.

I hold a NEBOSH diploma and have experience in chemical, rail, distribution, logistics, road fleet, waste management, engineering and emergency response.

My current role includes:

Implementing OHSAS 18001 for 5 distinct business areas.

Co-ordinate the health and safety across multiple sites for a wide range of disciplines for 640 employees in high risk operations.

Carry out health and safety inspections and audits across multiple sites and situations.

Manage and investigate accidents/incidents.

Delivering improvements to safety culture and climate for the business area.

Coaching and training tailored to individual teams covering all aspects of H&S including WaH, LOLER, DSE, COSHH, risk assessment, incident management (and many others).

Liaising with union reps for safety changes and concerns.

Reporting safety performance and improvements to board/ senior exec level.

Developing numerous safety campaigns and identifying and implementing innovative techniques to encourage safety performance in front line teams with 'difficult' existing safety cultures.
