Hello everyone, I am a recent graduate of Occupational health safety and Environment from University of Birmingham. i have also registered to write my Nebosh certificate exam in October. To get my hand dirty with health and safety roles, i am available for an unpaid part time position( specifically within Birmingham). I can help in reviewing company's risk assessment records, training records or health and safety, policies or whatever could be the need of the organization. I will appreciate if anyone can help with this My email address is j_onwuekwe@yahoo.com Thanks

Hi Jacinta There are a few company's out there who do take people on in an unpaid part time H&S role to help the person gain some H&S experience. This is something we do at my company; but we are located a long way from Birmingham. Do you attend any of your IOSH branch meetings'. the Birmingtham branch meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at the Hollyfields Centre, Erdington, Birmingham B24 0JT. Networking is a good place to start and you never know someone at the branch meeting may be able to help you. Good luck, its sometimes difficult to get into a H&S role even with qualifications if you lack experience. Steve
